A point that remains dark across colors may indicate a dead pixel; a point that stays lit or remains a fixed color may be a stuck or hot pixel. Dust, fingerprints, reflections, and screen protectors can look similar, so clean the screen and verify the same spot across several colors before drawing a conclusion.
